Henry J. Carter Specialty Hospital & Nursing Facility, an NYU Langone affiliate , is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Medicine Physician to join our innovative Pulmonary & Respiratory Care Service.

Our Pulmonary & Respiratory Care Service provides specialized care for patients with:

• Chronic respiratory failure
• Prolonged mechanical ventilation
• COPD
• Neuromuscular disorders, including ALS
• Restrictive thoracic disease
• Obesity hypoventilation syndrome
• Bronchiectasis
• Complex tracheostomies
• Recovery following prolonged critical illness

• More than 200 ventilator-capable beds
• A dedicated 14-bed Ventilator Weaning Unit
• Multidisciplinary respiratory rehabilitation program
• Collaborative team of hospitalists, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation specialists, nursing, and pulmonary consultants
